Turning Strategy into Real-World Impact
At MidAmerica Clean Future Alliance, our projects are designed to move beyond planning and into measurable results. Each initiative reflects our commitment to practical solutions that address environmental challenges while creating economic and community value.
From single-city pilots to multi-city collaborations, our work is built to scale, adapt, and deliver lasting impact.
Community-Based Projects
Every project we support is grounded in local realities. We work directly with communities to identify needs, design solutions, and implement programs that reflect their priorities.
This includes organizing listening sessions, developing action plans, and coordinating stakeholders across sectors. By centering community voices, we ensure that each project is both relevant and effective.
Our role is to support communities in turning ideas into action, not to dictate outcomes.

Mississippi River Plastic Pollution Initiative
A multi-city initiative focused on reducing plastic pollution across the Mississippi River Basin. This project combines community-driven data collection, regional coordination, and on-the-ground implementation to identify sources of waste and deploy targeted solutions at scale.

The Last Stop: The Ocean Campaign
A cross-city and international collaboration designed to intercept plastic waste before it reaches major waterways and oceans. The project includes installing trash capture systems, hosting local workshops, and developing community-specific action plans.

Trash Free Waters Program
In partnership with regional cities, this initiative advances recycling systems, source reduction strategies, and data-driven approaches to minimize waste entering waterways. The program emphasizes community leadership and long-term sustainability.

Community Action Labs
A locally focused program that brings together residents, organizations, and stakeholders to identify environmental challenges and test practical solutions. These labs serve as incubators for ideas that can later be scaled across other communities.

River and Watershed Restoration Projects
This initiative supports cities in implementing nature-based solutions that improve water quality, reduce flooding, and restore habitats. Projects include green infrastructure, native landscaping, and shoreline stabilization efforts.

Circular Economy and Recycling Initiatives
Focused on reducing waste and maximizing resource use, this project helps communities design and implement systems that support reuse, recycling, and sustainable material management. It connects environmental goals with economic opportunities.

Agricultural and Soil Health Partnerships
Working with farmers and agricultural partners, this initiative promotes regenerative practices that improve soil health, reduce runoff, and support long-term environmental resilience. It bridges environmental sustainability with agricultural productivity.

Green Workforce Development Program
This project creates pathways for local residents to access jobs in environmental and emerging industries. It focuses on training and employment opportunities in areas such as restoration, recycling systems, and green infrastructure maintenance.

Community Engagement and Outreach Program
An ongoing effort to build trust, awareness, and participation within communities. Through listening sessions, workshops, and partnerships with local organizations, this program ensures that all projects are rooted in community priorities and inclusive decision-making.
Join us for a better life and beautiful future
At MidAmerica Clean Future Alliance, we believe real change happens when people come together with a shared purpose and a willingness to take action.
